The Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) Boys & Girls Championships, more commonly known as Champs, is a 150-year track and field tradition in Jamaica and has been the proving ground that produced and continues to produce Jamaica's Olympic-class athletes, including Usain Bolt and Melaine Walker.

Even Norman Manley, father of former Prime Minister of Jamaica Michael Manley, was reported to have won gold for JC (Jamaica College) in the 100 metre dash in his day...right here at Champs!

Even though I was rooting for Kingston College (KC), the school many of the males on my father's side of family attended!
