I am quite female, I just get to the hardcore points that people like to dance around sometimes like the men would!

As a first timer, no there's no extra experience for you playing frontline, aside from how the costume looks.

As someone playing in Fantasy, that goes out the window only because HAVE YOU SEEN their frontlines this year? A-freaking-mazing!!!! I'm a headpiece fanatic and that band is headpiece HEAVEN in the frontlines. But Fantasy's backlines have great headpieces as well in many sections so you can't go too wrong there.

Frontlines get more celebrity treatment when on the road from national and international photographers (assuming you're not the worst looking one out there), from regular locals and visiting tourists, and they get to cross the stage first for their section.

But for a first timer all these nuances aren't going to be that apparent or necessary because you'll be feeling grand anyway you take it once your costume's on and some gems on your face! Especially if you get your boots decorated! So that's just a teeny tiny glimpse into the whole frontline thing. It's just 9 times out of 10 a way more WOW, glam version of the costume.

With a price to match. lol.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00639841350662292856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8725993574237592536.post-89445792733813561402012-08-20T17:14:32.950-04:002012-08-20T17:14:32.950-04:00Your comments were brutally honest and serve as a ...Your comments were brutally honest and serve as a reality check! I am assuming this blog is written by a male (not that gender has anything to do with it) but it was quite commical to have your comments resonate in a male tone :-) I am a first timer. I skipped last year so that I could experience the Bang Theory of Trinidad Carnival this year. Without breaking the bank. My only question is with the prices the large bands are charging (I'm playing with Fantasy) is there "an experience to playing "Frontline"? I love being orginal so I know I will individualize my backline costume so its more to my liking but I just thought I'll ask. Thank you for a Great Review!!!
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8725993574237592536.post-51421200648103770132012-07-03T09:59:25.291-04:002012-07-03T09:59:25.291-04:00Glad you enjoyed yourself! 2 might become 3 next ...Glad you enjoyed yourself! 2 might become 3 next year...we all start somewhere. :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00639841350662292856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8725993574237592536.post-5671988968934176252012-07-01T14:53:33.612-04:002012-07-01T14:53:33.612-04:00I just went the LA's first carnival parade, th...I just went the LA's first carnival parade, they only had two bands but I had soo much fun!Salkis Rehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00687686204987439351noreply@blogger.com
